Kwara State Government reassures the people on their stand on hijab based on law and respect for pluralism
His Excellency Governor Abdul Rahmon wishes to once again clarifies that kwara State is a plural society whose diversity and peaceful coexistence as the southernmost northern state are its most unique selling points.
The Governor therefore condemns the reckless attempts by some fifths columnists to polarize our state along religious lines, using the settled question of hijab in public schools as a smokescreen to advance their evil intent.
For the avoidance of doubt , the Governor maintains the earlier position of the state government on the question of hijab as follows:
A. Based on subsisting court judgement which were built on the constitution, federal and state laws, principal of pluralism, and sanctity of the right of every person to their identity, especially in public space, the use of hijab in public schools is a constitutional right that the government shall protect for anyone and everyone willing to use it.
B. The government’s strategic patience in the handling of delicate matters involving the people is swore to protect is not same as pandering to anyone’s whims.
C. Consequently, the Governor stands firmly by government’s policy on the permissibility of hijab’s in all public schools.
D. The Governor appeals to the people of the state to not allow agents of fake news and disinformation to mislead them and set them against one another. This administration, to be sure is beholden only to the law truth and fairness to all at all times.

Lagos appoints Suspended Lagos State Chairman of NURTW MC Oluomo as Pack Management Committee Chairman
Due to the unpleasant events in all parks and garages on 10th of March 2022, The Lagos State Government suspended NURTW operations and promised to set up a Park Management Committee.
following the tension the Suspended Lagos State Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya also known as MC Oluomo is being appointed as the Chairman of Parks Management Committee (PMC). This was announce by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy Gbenga Omotoso who said the committee will oversee the affairs of all motor parks and garages in the State.
Other members of the committee, who have been selected following consultations with stakeholders in the sector, are: Hakeem Odumosu (AIG Rtd) as Government; Alhaji Sulyman Ojora – Deputy Chairman; Dr. Taiwo Olufemi Salaam – Secretary; Comrade Olayiwola Lemboye; Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle; Alhaji Ganiyu Shittu; Alhaji Mukaila Runsewe; Alhaji Sulyman Yusuf; Mufutau Mutiu; Yinka Hassan; Sunday Ogunleye; Moshood Omojowa; Ismaila Aigoro; Ibrahim Yusuf; Akeem Tijani; Omolabake Adelakun; Comrade Kazeem Hassan; Wasiu Amole; Ganiyu Ayinde; Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye; John Victor Owolabi; Saburi Salami; Ibrahim Onitiju and Odusanya Gbenga.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy Gbenga Omotoso also stated that the new appointed members of the committee are to report to the Ministry of Transportation.
